"Broncos' Future Secured: Rising Star Ezra Mam Commits to Long-Term Deal"

The Brisbane Broncos have received a significant pre-season boost as emerging talent Ezra Mam is reportedly set to commit to the Red Hill club with a long-term contract. According to The Courier Mail, Mam is expected to sign a deal extending until at least the end of 2025, joining the ranks of high-profile Broncos securing their future with similar long-term contracts, including Payne Haas, Pat Carrigan, Reece Walsh, and Selwyn Cobbo, as the club strives to transform from 2020 wooden spooners to premiers in 2024.

The official announcement of Mam's extension is anticipated before the Broncos' season opener against the Roosters in Las Vegas. While Mam's retention is a success for Brisbane, attention now turns to retaining fullback Reece Walsh beyond 2025, as he becomes a potential free agent at the end of the 2024 season.

Mam's standout performance in the 2023 grand final, marked by a dazzling second-half hat-trick against the Panthers, solidified his status as one of the NRL's rising stars. Despite interest from the Dolphins, the Broncos acted swiftly to secure Mam's future in a maroon jersey, with Coach Walters expressing confidence in Mam's commitment to the team. Walters remarked, "I’m very confident he’ll stay. He loves the place here and we love him."
